Join Great Rides for a chance to bicycle one of America’s most popular Rail Trails and to witness a total eclipse of the sun. On Monday, August 21st at 1:09pm, the moon’s shadow will race across America from the Pacific to Atlantic in a spectacular fashion not experienced in America since 1918. Be there!

DATES: Saturday, August 19 - Monday, August 21, 2017

Tourists and their bikes will board a charter bus at Great Northern Bicycle Co. on Saturday morning, departing Fargo by 7am and arriving in Kansas City that evening for a Kansas City Royals baseball game. We'll drive to Columbia, MO after the game. The next morning (Sunday) we wake up and ride to Sedalia, MO on the Katy Trail. We'll stop at a winery and take in other sites along the trail. Monday we'll ride to a family-owned orchard in Waverly, MO where we'll take in the total eclipse at 1:09pm. Afterward, we'll load up and depart for Fargo, arriving at midnight Monday, August 21.

We will be pedaling 50-65 miles on Sunday and Monday, but not to worry; if you don't feel comfortable pedaling that distance, there will be several opportunities for riders to hop on the bus and enjoy the ride!
